The Return

I think it’s important to be able to admit when you’re in over your head. When I started this thing up last year, I was definitely trying to do too much. All of the spreadsheets, gambling on every game, trying to write something halfway interesting — it was just too much considering my work schedule and trying to balance that with my personal life. The quality continued to get worse, I kept getting behind schedule, and eventually, I just stopped posting. It was an abject failure.

This year, I’m getting back to my roots. No more gambling (well, I mean, I’m gonna gamble, but not on every game and it’s not gonna be the focal point of this blog), just my weekly picks, power rankings, and recaps. Maybe the occasional one-off post, I don’t know. I think my schedule now should allow me more time to write, so I’m hoping to improve the quality and consistency that I couldn’t quite get down last year. I’ve deleted all my old posts, we’re starting fresh.

With that being said, I’m looking forward to this season. I hope that you’ll follow along with me on this journey of heartbreak and joy that we call the NFL season. Perhaps, a journey of redemption for myself as well.
