Week 4 Picks: Divisional Drama

Week 4 is upon on us, folks.

Matchups To Watch

Lions @ Packers // TNF – Will the Lions be able to lay their claim to the NFC North throne? Or will Jordan Love prove to be the rightful heir to the Packers’ legacy? It’s a Thursday game, and that means there’s sure to be something screwy going on. I think the Lions may be too balanced for the Jekyll and Hyde Packers to content

Dolphins @ Bills // Sun – This is, without a doubt, the best game on the slate this weekend. The Dolphins offense is liable to explode for a mountain of touch downs, and let’s not forget that Josh Allen and Co. can run up the score as well. Typically you’d think the Bills have a better defense in this matchup, but Vic Fangio’s unit has been playing great thus far. A true coin toss, I’m gonna go with the dynamic Miami team in this one.

Ravens @ Browns// Sun – Expect this one to be a bit of a bruiser. It always seems to be with these AFC North matchups. I’m gonna go with the Ravens here mostly because I respect them and I do not respect the Browns whatsoever. I also think they’ll be hungry coming off a disappointing loss to the Colts last week.

Games With Interest

Falcons @ Jaguars – London games might as well be true home games for Jacksonville. They’re only 4-5 across the pond, but play there every year. I’d say that gives them a distinct advantage.

Rams @ Colts – At the start of the season, this game wouldn’t have registered on my radar. But here we are in Week 4 and both of these teams are showing signs of life. I feel that the Rams are a little more consistent and have a little more talent, so I’ll give them a slight edge.

Raiders @ Chargers – GoofBall Bowl. You’ve got two underperforming talented rosters here. I think the Chargers are a tiny bit less likely to mess things up, but you should tune into this one for the lols for sure.

The Rest

Steelers @ Texans – This matchup features two teams that have been playing better every week thus far. CJ Stroud is no joke, so I’m hoping the experienced Steelers’ D will be able to make life hell for the rookie. Expect this one to go down to the wire.

Broncos @ Bears – Battle for worst team in the league!!! Do not watch this game if you like football. I think the Broncos are a little less pathetic than the Bears so that’s why I’ll be taking them.

Vikings @ Panthers – This feels like a good spot for the Vikings to get their first win of the season. Of course, I’m just now considering the possibility of an Adam Theilen revenge game, but I do like the Vikes here.

Buccaneers @ Saints – Expect this one to be tight, but sloppy. I’m giving the Saints the edge here with the assumption that Jameis Winston will be starting at QB. Washed up Derek Carr doesn’t move the needle for me.

Commanders @ Eagles – Despite the promising start for the Commanders, their game against Buffalo showed they’re no where near the same level as the elite tier of teams. The Eagles are certainly in that tier.

Bengals @ Titans – Two years ago, this would’ve been a good game. With how both of these teams have been playing so far this year, it’s more like “ew, gross” when I think about it. I don’t want to watch it. The Bengals are better, I’m sure of that.

Patriots @ Cowboys – Speaking of gross games, I present to you the game that no one wins. A Pats win would at least be funny, but Dallas probably smacks em around real good.

Cardinals @ Niners – Pray for the Cardinals, this won’t be pretty.

Chiefs @ Jets – Before the season started, this would’ve been a great game. Now, it’s just unfortunate that this is a standalone contest. It only serves as a test for the Chiefs’ O.

Seahawks @ Giants – Kind of mid for a Monday night game. The Giants are pretty bad but they’ll probably at least put up some points on a soft Seattle D. The problem for the G-men is that Seattle will put up more points.

Poor Wagers Club

Let’s see what kind of bets I can lose this week:

Money Line: Seahawks (-120)

Spread: Eagles -8.5 (-110)

Point Total: Bengals/Titans U41 (-110)

And that’s Week 4, people. I’ll see ya on Tuesday.
