Ah, the Power Rankings. Honestly, it’s my favorite bit. People get mad, I laugh. Don’t take this one too seriously, though. It’s not like I have much to go off here. This is just how I’m feeling after Week 1:

Top 10
- Chiefs – Not much to say here. Defending champs, added Xavier Worthy. They’re on top until they get knocked off. Historically, their Week 2 opponent, Cincinnati, is one of the few teams that can do that. But with how slowly the Bengals seem to start their seasons, I foresee the Chiefs handling business.
- Niners – San Francisco is in a similar spot to KC. And they can put up big rushing numbers without CMC in the lineup. Rumor has it, he may be out for the Week 2 contest against Minnesota as well, but that is of no concern for Brock Purdy and his merry band of touchdown scorers. Expect the Niners to fly out of Minneapolis with a dub.
- Cowboys – By strategically placing the Boyz at 3, when they inevitably make a misstep, I’ll get more joy out of moving them down. I don’t think that happens against the Saints this week, though. If we’re being honest, they barely played an NFL team last week, so that gives Dallas the advantage.
- Ravens – For as spotty as the offense looked on Thursday night, they were in it with the Chiefs until the last second, probably an inch away from forcing OT. If you know a Raiders fan, pray for them this Sunday as we are going to see Lamar do some very nasty things to that defense.
- Eagles – It’s both a blessing and a shame to see Saquon on this team. I’m happy for bro to finally have a line to run behind, but I can’t say I enjoy seeing Philly excel. All things indicate that they should be fine against the Falcons on Monday Night. We didn’t forget that Kirk Cousins can’t play in prime time. Add in the fact that he’s even more statuesque than ever before, and I think we all know who will win this battle of the birds.
- Texans – The Texans offense is just filled to the brim with playmakers. They’ll take on the Bears Sunday night, and I expect the QB play to be extremely lopsided.
- Lions – Now here’s a gritty squad. And damn that boy Jameson Williams is fast. If he emerges as a consistent vertical threat, Amon-Ra and Sam LaPorta will benefit from attention being pulled away from them. They’ve got a tough matchup this weekend as they welcome in Baker Mayfield and the Bucs, who appear to have a prolific offense of their own. You’ll wanna tune into that one, ladies and gents.
- Jets – I’m still relatively high on the Jets despite some of their lackluster moments on Monday night. They were playing one of the best teams in the league after all. I don’t think they have any issues with the Titans in Week 2. If they do, you won’t see them in the Top 10 next week.
- Rams – Despite the loss, I’m high on the Rams. They’ll be in for a potential shootout with the Cardinals this week, but at the end of the day, I think they’ll be the better team.
- Bills – Maybe I’m being a little harsh on the Bills, but sticking them behind a couple teams that lost in Week 1, but they did need a comeback to defeat Arizona, and the game started a little rough. They usually handle business against Miami, so I expect them to do just that on Thursday.
Week 2 Picks out tomorrow – we’ll see ya there.
