Week 5 Results: Mediocrity Personified

It feels like we’re just barely scraping by here. I’ll take 8-6, but we really need a big week here soon. Here’s the damage:

Big L’s

Buccaneers – Can’t be too mad about being on the wrong side of a Thursday night shootout. You win some, you lose some.

Patriots – The exact opposite of the above. Hard to predict an awful game like this one.

Bills – Feels like I’m losing on a lot of 50/50 balls here. Knowing that Josh Allen had a pretty poor performance and still almost won this game makes me feel better though.

Niners – People are starting to ask if this is actually the San Fraudcisco 49ers. It may be true. You can’t put up a goose egg in the second half against an objectively poor Cardinals defense and claim to be Super Bowl contenders.

Seahawks – I hate to say that I almost took New York in this one, but I did. I’m not at all surprised by this outcome. The Giants are kinda fiesty.

Steelers – Oh boy. You really don’t want to get me started on this one. An absolutely pathetic offensive game against a banged up Dallas D. The Steelers generated 3 turnovers and still only managed 17 points. I can’t even blame the defense for not getting one final stop. Poor timeout/clock management from Coach T. Just an all-around abhorrent showing. I might throw up just thinking about it.

Anyway, check back in tomorrow for this week’s Power Rankings.
