Week 6 Power Rankings: Quietest Week Yet

Most weeks, there’s a couple upsets that shake up the power rankings. We didn’t really see that in Week 6. In fact, there was not a single team that lost to a lower ranked opponent with the exception of Cincinnati beating the Giants, and they were right next to each other in the rankings. That’s not to say that there’s no movement this week, just a lot less than normal. With that being said, this week, there will be no Top 10 section, instead, we’ll be doing the Mid 10. A nice change of pace, I think. Here’s the rankings:

Mid 10

11. Commanders – Washington held tough against a great Baltimore team, so that’s definitely a good sign for this squad. A Week 7 contest against the Panthers should be a great way to get back on track after the loss.

12. Buccaneers – Tampa put up a prolific scoring effort in Week 6 with 51 points. But they shouldn’t get too excited, as they’ve got the Ravens on Monday Night and Lamar has only lost to an NFC opponent once in his career. They’ll need to recreate their offensive production from last week to keep up with the high-flying Ravens.

13. Jets – Another close loss for the Jets has them sitting at a disgruntled 2-4. But by way of Vegas, Davante Adams has reunited with Aaron Rodgers in a move that may save the Jets’ season. It’s yet to be seen how the addition of Adams will affect the offense as a whole, but you have to assume good things. They play the next team on this list, Pittsburgh, on Sunday Night in what I’m sure will be a low-scoring affair.

14. Steelers – The Steelers desperately needed a get right win against the Raiders, but they need to beat the Jets just as desperately (every game is desperate for these guys). The rumor mill is implying that Russell Wilson may be getting the start this week, and I know we’re all very curious to see what that looks like.

15. Bengals – I’ve got no doubt that this team is better than their record. While any AFC North game is usually a hard battle, I think we see Cincinnati start to stack wins here against a very sad Browns team.

16. Cowboys – Lmao. Lucky for everyone else, these guys are on bye this week.

17. Seahawks – It’s starting to look like maybe this isn’t a good team. It’s not a bad team, but certainly not a good team. Unfortunately, they are playing a good team this week in the Atlanta Falcons. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong, but I don’t think so.

18. Bears – These Bears are coming along nicely. They get a bye week to rest up before they take on the Commanders in Week 8. L

19. Chargers – This team reeks of middle of the pack, but I think they match up well against the Cardinals this Monday.

20. Giants – With two wins under their belt and a couple of close losses, this team is exceeding expectations. Which, when you think about it, it’s a little sad. They take on the Eagles this week in a game that I’m not really sure what to make of. The vibes in Philly are very low and the Giants are very sneaky.

Week 7 Picks out tomorrow.
