Week 7 is upon us, and there’s some great matchups going down this week. Let’s take a look:

Heavy Hitters
Texans @ Packers – This is actually my favorite game this weekend. The Packers seem to be rolling now that Jordan Love appears to be fully recovered from his Week 1 injury, and the Texans proved last week that they can remain dangerous despite the loss of Nico Collins. I like the Packers by a hair because of home field advantage.
Lions @ Vikings – This one oughta be crispy. It feels like a great spot for the Vikings to collect their first loss of the season, but I had to give them the nod because they should be well-rested off the bye week and Detroit put up big numbers last week, meaning they’re likely to come back to Earth in Week 7.
Chiefs @ Niners – This is always a good game, but I’m actually starting to get tired of seeing this matchup. Too much red. Anyway, it is a Super Bowl rematch after all, so I’m sure it won’t disappoint. As always, I gotta stick with the Chiefs, given Patrick Mahomes’ game-winning drive ability and the fact that the Niners have had a couple second half collapses this season.
Ravens @ Buccaneers – This should be a pretty high-scoring affair, but we know how Lamar beats up on NFC teams. It’ll be an entertaining game, but ultimately you gotta go with the Ravens.
Other Games of Interest
Eagles @ Giants – Something about the Giants, man. I can’t call it, but there’s something about that team that screams “average enough to beat anybody.” It’s a divisional game, the Eagles are talented but have some of the weirdest vibes in the whole league. So why not, I’ll take the G-Men.
Seahawks @ Falcons – This game also figures to be a high scoring affair. It’ll be a good measuring stick for the Seahawks to see what caliber of team they really are. For now, I think the Falcons will take this one.
Jets @ Steelers – In fairness, this game probably won’t be very exciting from an on the field perspective, it’ll be a defensive slog. But the narratives surrounding the game should be pretty good. How does the Jets offense look with the addition of Davante Adams? Does Russel Wilson elevate the Steelers offense? Lots of question marks here. I’m taking the Jets because I’ve got a lot more uncertainty about Russel Wilson’s impact than Davante’s.
And that’s it, we’ll see ya on Tuesday.
