On the whole, this was a pretty solid weekend of football. A 10-5 record is sort of the minimum type of week I strive for. I did leave a couple on the table though, let’s talk about that:
Loooooser
Giants – I let the cheekiness of the Giants cloud the reality of the Saquon revenge game. Easily my worst pick this week.
Vikings – I definitely said this could be a spot the Vikings lose — but I talked myself out of it thinking they’d be fresh off the bye and Detroit would take a step back from their performance against Dallas. Can’t be too mad about this one.
Falcons – Two things hold true for this game. One, the Falcons are not as good as I thought. Two, the Seahawks are better than I thought. Just when you think you know a team, they spit in your face.
Jets – I’m hyped about this one of course. Admittedly, I was skeptical of Russ, but he took the offense to another level. And the Jets are big sad.
Chargers – Time to come clean here — I didn’t watch a single snap of this game. The Chargers and Cardinals are both middling teams that feel very hard to predict. This one feels like it’s just part of the game. Not losing sleep over it.
